USTA Middle States Names PRC a Premier Facility

The USTA Middle States announced that the Princeton Racquet Club will be designated as a 2016 USTA MS Premier Facility.   Thirty four facilities and organizations were recognized this year for providing many of the programs that the USTA offer for it’s communities.  PRC has received this distinction every year since it’s inception in 2013 for it’s continued support of USTA programming for juniors and adults.

Princeton Racquet Club was one of the first clubs to commit to the USTA 10 and under program in 2012, adding blended lines to 4 outdoor courts and two indoor courts.   Several teaching professionals are certified in the 10 and under program, implement the curriculum, and use the modified nets and balls.  A variety of leagues, play days and compass tournaments are also provided .

Last year, over 50 adult USTA league teams represented PRC in the following:  Men’s (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0) and Women’s (2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 4.5), Mixed Doubles (6.0 and 7.0) and Men’s and Women’s Tri Level teams.  Special thanks to the captains and players who represented PRC throughout the year. Congratulations to the PRC teams who won the local league and advanced to the NJ District Championships and Jeremy Schmitter and his 5.0 Men’s team, who advanced to National Championships.

Many of you have witnessed the busy courts during the weekends in the summer, filled with many boys and girls participating in numerous USTA  junior tounaments.  Thanks to the tournament staff: Dennis, Adam, Sean and Maria and all of the parents and competitors.

Thank you to the administrative staff of the Middle States and the New Jersey District, who are so supportive with their time and guidance in running the programs.  The PRC facilities and programming are definitely award winning.  But the reason we know we are a Premier facility and provider is because we have Premier People.  Sincere thanks to all of the administrative, facilities and teaching staff,  and all of the juniors, parents and adults who play at PRC.
