Want to play the fastest growing sport in the US? Pickleball is a combination of tennis, ping pong and badminton. It is played on a smaller tennis court, with a paddle and hard whiffle ball. Players are encouraged to go toward the net and the game is quick with a lot of volleys.
New players, as well as experienced players, can attend the Pickleball leagues at PRC because there is always a pro available to provide pointers, fill in and assist. Pickleball is held indoors and offered Monday and Thursday 2:00 pm, Thursday at 7:30 pm, and Sunday 6:30 pm. Players can also rent the Pickleball courts. Paddles and balls are available for your use. PRC is using MeetUp for players to sign up for Pickleball play. Go to Meetup.com or download the app on your phone. It is a free and convenient way to see the schedule, sign up for play and see other players who are in the group. Our group is called the Greater Princeton Area Pickleball group. Also, check our website www.princetonracquetclub.com for up to date news and activities for Pickleball.
Currently, Elaine is organizing matches and clinics to introduce Pickleball and help players learn the rules and scoring. It is very fun and tennis players transition quickly. Contact Elaine for additional information.
