The clay courts are closed for the season. Because our clay courts are hydro courts (underground watering system), they need to be closed down before the ground starts to freeze. Princeton Racquet Club will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 8:00 am- 12:30 pm. Open court time can be reserved at a holiday rate. The PRC Golden Aces defeated the Central Penn Hempfield Sassy team 2-1 in a close match in Media, PA this morning. Two of three of the matches went down to the third set super tiebreaker. Congratulations to captain Catherine and the team, who qualified for national championships, tentatively scheduled in February in Arizona.
The PRC Golden Aces won the USTA 6.0 65 and over league, which was held outside during the fall. The team received their prizes from Diana Kimick, local league coordinator on Thursday. Our first Turtleneck Classic was held on a beautiful, but unseasonably, warm day. Consequently, Sleeveless was more frequent than Turtlenecks! Thanks to the 32 women who participated and congratulations to the winners, who savored their Turtles!
