What’s Your UTR?

Princeton Racquet Club is proud to announce that it’s partnership with Universal Tennis Rating (UTR).  UTR is a global rating system for all players, regardless of age gender, geography or skill level, based on a scale between 1.00 and 16.50 based on actual match results.  Having a UTR will enable you to track your progress, find other players your level, play more matches – and of course, make new friends.  Everyone can have a UTR, juniors and adults, beginner through world class player.  UTR counts all results in verified and non-verified tournaments/events.  Verified UTR counts match results played in only verified tournaments and events.  USTA league/tournament matches count toward Verified UTR and UTR.  Casual/practice matches count only toward UTR.  After one match result, you will receive a projected UTR (P).  After approximately five matches, the rating becomes reliable.  Click here to go to the UTR website.  Check out the PRC webpage and create a profile.  To watch a video and learn more about UTR, click here.

We are excited to create additional social and competitive opportunities for juniors and adults, in addition to the numerous USTA Adult Leagues and USTA junior tournaments that are currently offered.   PRC will have a  UTR kick off for juniors on April 12 from 5:00-8:00 pm.  Junior leagues will start on April 15th and 17th and a men’s and women’s singles Flex league will begin the week of April 22.  More events and information to follow soon.
