Every Point Counts!

“Every point Counts” is the official motto of Fed Cup, and today, like so many Fridays, the team totals reflected just how important one point was.  Team names were themes of the US Open (which starts on Monday).  Congratulations to the Billie Jean Kings (228), Queens (227), Ashes (212) and Melon Balls (200).

Laundry Day for Monday Match Play

Clothespins on a tennis court?  Participants in the Monday match play were awarded clothespins which represented free points to be used at their discretion.   This system is modeled after TenCap, where handicaps are used to make tennis matches more competitive.  Lots of fun, mental toughness and strategy.

Bittersweet Day for Denmark at Fed Cup

Fall Indoor Season Begins on Thursday, September 6th

Record Turnout For Exciting Fed Cup

A record 48 women participated in Fed Cup on Friday.  The competition was exciting and the moto of Fed Cup, every point counts, was confirmed by the close results:  Cameroon (312), New Zealand (320), Denmark (324) and the winners, Iceland (328).  That’s right – 16 points between the 4th and first place team.  Congratulations to…

Wimbledon White Out at PRC

PRC celebrated Wimbledon today with a white out on the courts. The day started with Judy’s singles players and the 8 am drill. Congratulations Sweet Spots

The PRC Sweetspots gathered today and had a “hot” lunch to celebrate their successful season.  Congratulations to Coach Mansour, Captain Kristen Schultz and teammates for winning the 2.5 USTA 18 and over league.  The team will advance to district championships.  Good luck!
